Our Story as Told by the Founders

Coureur Du Dimanche - French running brand

Coureur Du Dimanche is a French running brand, founded in 2015, that develops technical equipment combining performance and style.

Hello everyone, here are Maxime, Florian and Mathieu, founders of Coureur Du Dimanche, and for once, we are going to tell you our story, working together behind a keyboard.

For 11 years, we have devoted all our energy to building our universe: imagining products, developing materials, creating collections, meeting runners, partners, suppliers, and growing Coureur Du Dimanche, a brand but above all a human adventure.

Let's go back to 2015, when running started to change. Easy to access, more and more people started running, races multiplied, the phenomenon grew. Yet running gear remained marked by the same codes: a lot of technology, a lot of performance, and often the same colors, the same silhouettes, and the same origins.

We wanted to offer something different.
Clothes designed for running, but produced more locally and with more personality and stories to tell. This is how Coureur Du Dimanche was born.

We started small. Very small.
1 t-shirt available in 4 colors. 400 pieces in total brought back in the trunk of our car, ready to be sold online on our website built with the means available at the time.

Every order mattered.
Every feedback mattered.
And then, gradually, something was created. Runners began to identify with the brand, sharing their photos with our t-shirts on social media. The press covered us. Retailers trusted us. Clubs and companies reached out to us. Communities formed around our products. And we understood that Coureur Du Dimanche could be much more than just a running t-shirt brand.

11 years later, the wardrobe has grown considerably. The CDD community has too.

Coureur Du Dimanche equips you from head to toe to accompany you everywhere. But despite this evolution, one thing remains unchanged:
We don't want running to become uniform, but to remain a field of expression.

Thank you to all those who have been running with us from the beginning, and to those who are joining us today. We want to write the rest of the story with you.

Why RUNNER ON SUNDAY?

COUREUR DU DIMANCHE, the name leaves no one indifferent. In a world where brands like short, technical, international, and high-performing names, Coureur Du Dimanche embraces something more cultural, immediately telling a story by going against the grain. This aligns with the desire since 2015 to present the brand as an alternative to the dominant codes of running.

Our belief

AFFIRM YOUR STYLE

11 years after our beginnings, we continue to move forward with the same desire:
to make running a field of expression.

Imagine new materials.
Develop new technologies.
Create technical equipment with a real identity, impactful patterns, sparkling colors, collections that tell a story, clothes in which everyone can recognize a part of their personality.

And above all, continue to defend a simple idea:
there is not just one way to run. There is yours.

Community is the brand

BUILT WITH THE COMMUNITY

Our story is not written only in our offices or workshops.

It is written on the roads. In clubs. On starting lines. In specialized stores. At trade shows. In training. In races. And over coffee after a few kilometers.

Our community is not just a chapter in our history. It is the core of it.

It is the runners who wear our collections, reinterpret them, comment on them, challenge us, and inspire us to go further.

Their feedback influences our products. Their practices inform our collections.
Their personalities inspire our artistic direction. We don't just want to dress a community. We want to build the brand with them.
